Essence All I Need Concealer Palette Review

Essence All I Need Concealer Palette

I first noticed the Essence All I Need Concealer Palette online earlier this year. I’ve never really done much colour correcting, but a few months ago I decided to pick up this palette and give it a go. I’m a fan of Essence products, as they’re affordable and most of their items are of really good quality.

The Essence All I Need Concealer Palette consists of 5 shades for both concealing and colour correcting. It has green, pink, light beige, dark beige and yellow. The beige shades are for concealing and the rest is used for colour correcting.

All of the shades are cream based. In all honesty I am not a fan of cream products. Taking this into account I find this palette to be okay.  In order to ensure a smooth application, the cream consistency needs to be slightly warmed. Which is why I use my fingers to apply the product. When I used a brush, I found it a bit patchy.

When using my fingers, application was easy but it is a sheer consistency. After being in the sun, my cheeks turn red quite easily (not a shade of tomato, but quite flushed) and the green does neutralise the redness. The beige shades are slightly too light for me, they could probably be used as highlighters (on my skin tone), but I haven’t given it a try.

I’ve used the colour correcting shades under MAC Studio Fix Fluid and L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation and never had issues with the colours showing through my foundation. However the product does not have good longevity.

Overall the Essence All I Need Concealer Palette is a good product, but I wouldn’t repurchase the palette. I don’t need all of the shades and I’m not a fan of cream products. With the exception of the swatches on my arm, I haven’t touched the beige shades. I’ve used the pink shade once and the yellow, probably twice. Green is the only shade that I use on a regular basis, so it would be more economical for me to just purchase a green concealer than an entire palette.

It’s under R70, which makes it a good purchase for people who are just starting off with colour correcting and what to play around with the colours. For more budget friendly makeup, check out my review on the Essence All That Greys Palette.

    Hi

I am seriously clueless when it comes to color correcting because I don’t know which color goes where. It is really compact and affordable

I am not a huge fan of cream products either, however your swatches don’t even look very creamy! Think I might pick this one up next time I go to Clicks! 🙂
