My laptop’s desktop was a mess. It had files and folders that I hadn’t used in months and it was just one hot mess. At first I thought desktop organizers were lame, but then I decided they might be useful after all but before I could set up my background with one I cleaned it out. It was left with very few icons but I still wanted a wallpaper desktop organizer. I didn’t like the ones I saw online so I made my own.
But my laptop’s screen is wider than most and I created it on the average setting of 1024×768 px, so I redone it to this:
The second one is on 1449×768 px as all I did was make it wider, but here’s how my desktop looks now (it completely slipped my mind to take a screenshot of how it looked before):
Pretty neat right? I also just realised that when you make pictures smaller on Blogger by too much, it blurs. So to get a better view click on the images, but from now on I will make my pics smaller beforehand.
I made some of the elements myself, but most of it I sourced ages back on the net so here’s credit where it is due:
iPhone from Free PSD Files
Flowers & paint brushes and animal drawing from Siwon Choi
Flowers, butterflies and ‘Each gift is a moment’ from Septdesnovembre
Cut out template from The Coffee Shop Blog
Pink Pencil from Free4Photoshop
Wood background, buttons and paper (by myself).
I’ve also decided to make both available as a download.
They are available as downloads for free over here. So install and have fun with your new pretty pink and organized desktops.
