Homemade Apple Face Mask

Face masks need not be expensive. You can easily create your own at home for next to nothing. This homemade apple face mask is one of my favourites. The best part is that made from only two ingredients: apple sauce and wheat germ.

These ingredients are inexpensive and easily found in any supermarket. This mask is rejuvenating and makes your face feel soft and smooth. Not only, it’s almost good enough to eat.

Apple helps maintain the PH balance of your skin and is also said to be an excellent treatment for acne.

Apparently, wheatgerm contains Vitamin E which has anti-aging properties and helps moisturise the skin.

Homemade apple face mask

  • 1 Tablespoon Applesauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Wheat germ

Mixture ingredients well together and apply to a clean face. Leave it on for about 15 minutes. Rinse off and apply your normal moisturiser.

Applesauce and wheat germ are stored in the fridge so the mask will be cold upon application. After a few minutes, it has a nice cool tingling sensation.

Tips:

Can’t get your hands on applesauce? Peel and chop up an apple and pop it into a blender until it’s smooth. Et voila! Homemade applesauce.

Don’t have any wheat germ? It can be substituted with regular oats.
